The UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital provides world-class multispecialty and oncology care for UT Health San Antonio’s patients.

Our providers have strong, longstanding relationships with referring providers across Texas and the nation. We support referring providers as expert care collaborators in more than 100 medical specialties.

We are available to consult, provide second opinion or assist in the management of complex conditions and oncology cases. Our collaborative approach to care enhances the both the provider and patient experience, leading to the best outcomes.

We strive to make the referral process as streamlined as possible for you and your patient. We offer electronic record sharing so you can view your patient’s latest medical records at any time. Our specialists provide regular updates about your patient’s care and are here to answer your questions.

How to refer a patient

What to send for a patient referral

When referring a patient to us, please send:

Demographic information
Reason for referral
Health insurance information (if applicable)
Pathology and imaging reports
Procedure reports
All prior treatment records
Physician notes (initial consultation and at least last five progress notes)
