UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital

Finding Hope and Healing Arts

Step inside UT Health San Antonio’s Multispecialty and Research Hospital and see how the Healing Arts Collection is bringing hope and healing to patients, families, and the care teams who support them and how philanthropy, art and healthcare come together for community impact.

This video follows the installation of major works, including one of the largest pieces, located in the hospital's main atrium, and created by Ansen Seale, a San Antonio artist. His work comprises 23 different-sized circular wood pieces symbolizing the 23 human chromosomes. The video also meanders down the art walk gallery leading to the Tom C Frost Skybridge, where the second installation by El Paso, Texas artist Carlos Rosales-Silva transforms the skybridge into a wash of light and color, an experience that invites calm and connection.

The Healing Arts Signature Collection reflects the culture of South Texas and advances human-centered care through arts in health. Sponsorship of a signature piece helps create a hospital experience shaped by hope, where art and medicine come together to support healing and leave a lasting legacy.
